During World War 2, in German occupied France, Melanie Laurent witnesses the murder of her family, but manages to escape. Later she is running a cinema when she meets German hero Daniel Bruhl who arranges a special showing that will attract the top Nazi soldiers. Whilst she plots her revenge, a group of guerilla soldiers led by Brad Pitt also plan an attack.
This is a stylish thriller from Quentin Tarantino that is typical of his style, though unusual for a mainstream Hollywood film in that the dialogue is in English and German.
