A marine scientist (Tony Randall) is challenged by his boss to prove that living underwater is possible by spending a month in an underwater house with his family (Janet Leigh) that he has designed and built. His two children take another two teenages who are part of their pop band. The plot is silly, but it is entertaining nonsense, with Janet Leigh meeting a seal in the shower and Richard Dreyfuss has his first encounter with a shark.
