During a routine space shuttle mission, debris from an exploded satelite destroys the spacecraft and leaves the two survivors (Sandra Bullock and George Clooney) sruggling to find a way to survive and return safely to earth. Whist this film is visually impessive with several seet piece CGI heavy scenes, it suffers from bad science, a lack of complexity of plot for a disaster film and no character development. Sandra Bullock does well with the material she has to work with, the problem lies with the plot. If you want to watch a film of nice visuals then you will enjo this but if you want a film of acting, lot and characters then this is not for you.
