Comment
A newspaper man (Walter Huston) who misses out on all of his daughters (Betty Lawford) life milestones starts to have a change of heart when a feisty and attractive woman (Kay Francis) arrives and threatens to sue the newspaper. Kay Francis is good in her first film as she charms Walter Huston and the fiance of his daughter and then blackmails Huston in to not dumping her. Charles Ruggles becomes annoying as the drunk newspaper reporter as the joke is overused.Whilst not a classic film worth watching for Kay Francis in her first film after her stage performances and it is clear to see why she quickly became a major star.
