Comment/Synopsis

Set in Hawaii in the lead up to the attack on Pearl Harbour, this is less a war film and more a study of relationships in the army of the time. One of the best of its type from the period with an all star cast. The beach scene with Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr was improvsed rather than planned.
