An orphan woman (Mary Pickford) living above a saloon in a gold mining town, has a friend (Henry Walthall) who decides to leave her in search of a new gold strike. His friend (Lionel Barrymore) arrives in town and strkes up a friendship with her. When her first friend returns she has to choose between the two men. This is Mary Pickford appearing in a western.
