A small Duchy is in debt to a big country because the population spends it time singing and making music, so the duchess (Diana Napier) bans music in the hope people will start working. A famous musician arrives back to his home in the duchy with a reporter (Jimmy Durante) and his daughter (June Clyde) and they plan an underground concert. This is a lightweight operetta style film that is pleasant but forgettable.
