A happily married man with a wife and child is sent to Europe on business but on the boat meets a woman (Theda Bara) who uses her charm and beauty to use, them and their money, and once she has destroyed them she leaves them. Theda Bara's character is called the Vampire as she effectively sucks the life blood out of her male victims and Edward Jose rapidly ages and deteriorates through the film.
