The Exorcist has became one of the classic cult horror films. A young girl is possessed and so the people around her have to deal with this and exorcise the demon. It contains several classic scenes that have been copied many times that are visually very effective, especially the head turning all the way round. It mixes a domestic situation with the supernatural. It also mixes big philosophical themes with a lagely limited set, helped by the with creative use of sound effects.
