Amy Adams is a princess who is about to marry a prince (James Marsden) in a cartoon fairytale world. However the evil queen (Susan Sarandon) wants to stop the marriage and so sends her to modern day New York. The prince follows her and so does the queen's assistant (Timothy Spall). This is a fun modern day fairytale that involves Disney sending up itself (Amy Adams doing a Snow White impression getting the animals to tidy a room) as the animated world clashes with the real world. Amy Adams gives a good performance as the fairytale princess coming to terms with the real world.
