John Wayne is a gun fighter who joins up with his old sheriff friend Robert Mitchum to defend a family of ranchers involved in batlle with other ranchers. This is John Wayne doing what he did best riding a horse and being macho and he is well supported by Robert Mitchum and James Caan.
