A business man (Walter Huston) sells his car business goes off with his younger wife (Ruth Chatterton) to Europe. However they both have different views on life and as their marriage starts to come apart she starts an affair. The main problem with the film is that really neither of the two main characters are particularly likeable. It is Mary Astor's character that is the most likeable.
