A successful fashion editor in under pressure from work and her lifestyle socialising with various men. When it all gets too much she goes to see a psychiatrist who suggests a change of lifestyle. She moves into a small flat, changes her name, takes up painting and meets a research doctor living in the same flat. They fall in love, but things take a different turn when she is accused of murdering one of her former lovers. The film drags a bit with the slow pace in places but it does have a good good performance from Hedy Lamarr.
