Alan Rickman leads a group of terrorists take over a skyscraper at Christmas. Bruce Willis is the policeman coming to visit his wife who is in the building and hence gets involved in fighting the terrorists. This is a good version of the one man killing all of the bad guys one by one theme with good performances from Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman. This led to a series of sequels, which are OK, but not as good as this original. It has also become a clssic Christmas film as it is an action film set at Christmas. This is the film that made Bruce WIllis a star. The film has a repuatation as a Christmas film, but it has nothing to do with Christmas.
