A woman (Marlene Dietrch) cons her way into stealing a very expensive pearl necklace from Paris and then escapes to Spain and along the way she gets involved with an innocent American man (Gary Cooper) on his holiday. To avoid the police she hides the pearls in his jacket pocket and has to work with her accomplice (John Halliday) to recover them. This is Marlene Dietrrich using all her sultry charm.
