Comment/Synopsis

Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov) investigates a murder on a boat cruising down the Nile. This all star cast version of the Agatha Christie novel produces a film that has a glossy feel and is set against a backdrop of ancient Egyptian sites along the river nile. The direction though gives the film a very staid and ponderous feel, despite a competent cast. Peter Ustinov does though give a good interpretation of Hercule Poirot.
