Comment/Synopsis

Death decides that he wants to know why people fear him, so he decides to become human for three days and stay with a group of wealthy Americans, but ends up falling in love with one of the women. This is a study in life, death and the overwhelming power of love. The film is based on a stage play and a remake of the 1934 film version. The direction is very staid leading to very flat and lagely unemotional acting despite some of the passion that should be there in the dialogue. The earlier verion is better.
