Comment/Synopsis

Death decides that he wants to know why people fear him, so he decides to become human for three days and stay with a group of aristocrats, but ends up falling in love with one of the women. This is a study in life, death and the overwhelming power of love. Whilst the film does show its stage roots and the the dialogue and acting is somewhat stilted, it is though an engaging film. Evelyn Venable brings elegance to the character who falls in love with death. Gail Patrick has only a small part but does bring some lightness to an otherwise quite staid film.
