A newspaper reporter (Hugh Williams) is in Norway when the Germans invade and discovers a hidden U-boat base. However he is not believed until losses mount during the battle for the Atlantic. This is a piece of British WW2 propaganda, that attempts to show something of how Norway suffered under the occupation. Deborah Kerr is not convincing as the daughter of a Norwegian fisherman.
