Four astronauts on a deep space mission to destroy unstable planets ready for star systems to be colonised, start to have problems as their mission nears its end. This is a very early John Carpenter film made on a small budget and whilst not his best films it does have a few good scenes in a mix of sci-fi and comedy. It's influence is that it is gritty view of space rather than the intellectual view of 2001 A Space Odysey.
