Dennis Quaid is an English professor whose marriage to Jane Kaczmarek is on the rocks, but after one of his students commits suicide he discovers that he was having an affair with his wife and that he has been poisened and has only 24 hours to find out who and why he was poisoned with the help of student Meg Ryan. This is a reworking of the plot of the 1949 film of the same name.
