Comment
When the brother of an antiques dealer (Mark Eden) goes missing he visits the large house where he was last seen. There he meets the owner (Christopher Lee) who collects torture instruments, an expert on witch craft (Boris Karloff) and a woman (Virginia Wetherall) whose ancestor (Barbara Steele) was burned as a witch. This is a typical example of a British horror film from the late 1960's with a mix of horror, sexual inuendo and hallucinations. Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee are the big names but the main performances are from Mark Eden and Virginia Wetherell.
