Title:The Country Doctor
Colour: Black and White / Silent
Director: D W Griffith
A country doctor is torn between staying at the bedside of his sick daughter or going to help the daughter of a poor family who is ill in this short from director D W Griffith. Whilst some of the acting is a little over the top, which is not uncommon for this period of film making, it is the stunning panorama of the countryside and the begining and end of the film and the way it deals with the moral dilema of the doctor that make this film interesting.
