A young woman (Mary Pickford) from the southern states of the USA flirts with various men but is in love with one of them that her traditional father disapproves of. When they are found in a compromising situation, her father takes things into his own hands. The film is based on a stage play and it shows it origins by very static, a trait that is typical of early sound films. The script and most of the acting is not great, but the film is notable for being the first sound film by Mary Pickford and the only film that she got an Oscar nomination for and the main reason for watching this film.
