Alicia Silverstone is the rich high school student who takes a new girl under her wing to find her a boyfriend, but instead goes on a journey of self discovery. This ia a variation on the teen movie theme that looks back to and bulds on the themes of Jane Austin's novel Emma. Although a very loose adaptation of Emma, it is one of the few that uses the characters narating to the viewer as Austin used in the book as the character speak to the readers.
