Comment/Synopsis

A private detective (William Powell) and his rich wife (Myrna Loy) are asked by her cousin (elissa landi) to find her missing husband. The husband is then shot and the wife is found next to the body holding a gun by her former lover (James Stewart). Their investigation uncovers murder and criminal behaviour linked to the owners of a Chinese restaurant and a singer who performs there. The main plot is a murder mstery but has round it some comic scenes with William Powell and Myna Loy having fun playng off against each other as a newly married couple. This was the follow-up to the earlier The Thin Man also staring Powell and Loy.
