A dance couple use a dagger as part of their act. The star of the show (Florence Desmond) dislikes the woman (Dolores Del Rio) and takes a fancy to the man (Douglas Fairbanks Jr). After the two women have an argument the star is found stabbed in the back with the dancers knife. She is arrested for murder and he has to find the real killer. The first half of the film sets up the characters backstage in the theatre and the second half is the trial and search for the killer. Whilst there are solid performances from both Douglas Fairbanks Jr and Dolores Del Rio, the plot and script are not particularly good. This is not one of the better films that either of them made. Florence Desmond gives a good performance as the unpleasant victim. The film is set in France but was made in England.
