Career / Biography

Jamie Foxx is an actor as well as a comedian and singer. He started his career as a comedian doing both stand up and on television. His fist speaking film role was in the romantic comed The Truth About Cats and Dogs. Any Given Sunday was Oliver Stone's American Football film and learning from Al Pacino. He then played support in the biopic Ali. His next major role was in Collateral for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Ray is the biggest film the he made and is a biopic of Ray Charles, who was actively involved in the making of the film. This won him the Best Actor Oscar. He then appeared in two military films, Stealth and Jarhead. Miami Vice was a film version of the long running television series. After big staring roles he played more of a supporting role in Dream Girls. With Django Unchained he worked with Quentin Tarantino. White House Down was a big commercial action film. He entered the Marvel universe as a villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Just Mercy was a court room thriller. Soaul was the first Pixar animation with a black lead character.
