Comment
A woman (Carole Lombard) travelling on a boat through the Panama canal agrees to a date with a man (Fred MacMurray) . They get into a bar fight and she misses her boat. Broke, she moves in with him and gets a job in the same bar he works at as a musician. Altthough romance blossoms, the path is rocky not least as Dorothy Lamour also has designs on him. The plot is not great, the songs are not memorable and the trumpet gradually gets more annoying as the film goes on. Disappointing given the film features both Carole Lombard and Dorothy Lamour.
