Two frustrated wealthy married women are enticed by a famous writer to send their husbands away for the night whilst he romances them. The wives, the husbands and the writer are all invovlved in this for their own and different reasons. The film is based on a stage play and suffers from reflecting this background. It is most notable for the early in his career performance from Rex Harrison which is the high point of the film. There is good support from Diana CHurchill and June Clyde as the two wives.
