Harold Lloyd leaves his girl friend to go and make his fortune in the big city. He gets a job in a department store and gets himself into a series of comic situations. His girlfriend comes to visit him after he tells her he has a senior job at the store. The film has a series of good comic scenes, but the highight of the film is the final section where Harold Lloyd climbs the outside of the building as a stunt for the department store. The scene of him hanging from the clock face at the top of te building has become one of the iconc images of silent films.
