A man who makes magic tricks for other magicians want to be a star in his own right, but when he is stopped from using his latest trick by his rival who had also stolen his wife he turns murderous. VIncent Price is good in the lead role and has some suitably elaborate trick to get rid of his victims who he then imporsonates. The plot does get a bit messy with a female detective story writer helping the policewho do very little except look at finger prints. Eva Gabor brings some short lived glamour to the film.
