Ivanhoe (Robert Taylor) battles for good and for King Richard against bad Prince John whilst Joan Fontaine and Elizabeth Taylor vie for his affection. A good version of the Walter Scott book with some big names of the period. There are good strong performances from both Elizabeth Tyalor and Joan Fontaine that carry the film, in what is an MGM epic film.
