Comment/Synopsis
During an outbreak of plague a small Jewish community is threatened by another group of non-Jewish locals. IN attempt to defend her village one of the women conjurers up the mythical Golem, but it is a two edged sword as it brings both help and destruction. A slow and curious insight into mystical Jewish thought. The 1920 German silent film The Golem is a better film tackling this subject.
