Barry Levinson is a director and producer known for his drama and comedy/drama films. His most successful film is Rain Man starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. He started his careeer as a screen writer (Silent Movie, High Anxiety) for which he got an Oscar nomination for Diner (1982). In Good Morning Vietnam he let Robin Williams develop the character and it then helped Robin Williams career.
