A man (Ralph Bellamy) recently released from prison returns to live in a remote cabin near his home town. A singer (Fay Wray) arrives at his door trying to escape from two men. In the ensuing argument one of them is hit on the head and so the two of them decide to go on the run so that he will not go back to prison. Whilst the plot is not great, there are solid performances from the three leads and Fay Wray brings beauty to the film in some revealing outfits. THis is absed on a novel by Dashiell Hammett.
