Comment/Synopsis
Two reporters clash at first meeting and then fall in love and marry. She is a workaholic and becomes famous, he is more laid back and this leads to stresses in their marriage. This is an entertaining romantic comedy that plays on the differences between the two lead characters in terms of their attitude to work, life and marriage. Katharine Hepburn gives an excellent performance for which she was Oscar nominated. The final scene where Katharine Hepburn attempts and fails to cook breakfast for Spencer Tracy is a great comic scene. It was loosely remake as Designing Woman.
