Comment/Synopsis

A fortune teller (Jean Kent) is found murdered in her bedroom. As the police investigate they are given five differnt versions of the woman was like by five differnt people who knew her. These stories are told in a series of flashbacks as Jean Kent plays different versions of her character as described by the different witnesses. This British crime drama is very wordy and quite slow but it is a well constructed murder mystery. It is however the performance from Hermione Baddeley as the nosey neighbour that is the stand out performance.
