A mother (Wendie Malik) and daughter (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) pair of lawyers defend a former co-worker (Elusia Rotaru) of the mother on a charge of murder and attempted murder for the person the mother used to work for. One of a series of films with this pair of lawyers and has a better plot than many of the made for television mysteries.
