A reporter (Mary Anderson) goes to the bedside of a dying woman who tells her husband was murdered and did not die in an accident. A musician (Helmut Dantine) who is having marital problems is framed for her supposed murder by his lawyer (Paul Lukas) who then blackmails him to kill the reporter. This is a well worked thriller with a good plot and a suitably menacing performance from Paul Lukas as the murderous lawyer and good support from Mary Anderson as the reporter.
