After the birth of her baby, a woman (Patricia Roe) discovers that her husband has been arrested for bigamy. She takes her baby to a day nursery so she can get a job. She decides to give up her baby and the woman in the nursery (Rosamund John) takes him, but no formal paperwork was signed. This is an average British post-war drama. The main problem is that the plot is predictable and there are no twists to the plot. Patricia Roe and Rosamund John are OK in the two main roles as the women fighting over the child.
