A wealthy woman is shipwrecked on an island with a singing sailor, four socialites and an odd pair of scientists. Despite the initial animosity between the woman and the sailor they gradually warm to each other. The plot is very thin with the film being mainly a vehicle for Bing Crosby to sing several songs with some glamorous support from Carole Lombard.
