A man is set up to take the blame for a killing on an illegal gambling ship by his boss. He escapes to shore and pretends to be someone else and whilst hiding out meets a nd falls in love with a woman. However his past sarts to catch up with him. This is a pleasant mix of drama and romance which is not great, but there is a good performance from Ann Rutherford in her first screen role.
