A journalist (Lee Bowman) investigates the death of a priest that leads to a search for two Bibles and a missing valuable painting. Other people are also looking for the painting including a beautiful woman (Marguerite Chapman) and some men who will kill to obtain the painting. This is typical of many thrillers made in this period. The characters and acting are fine but not great, though Lee Patrick gives a good performance as Lee Bowman's secretary.
