A man drives his two young children into the outback and and then commits suicide leaving them to fend for themselves until them meet up with an aboriginal boy on walkabout who helps them. This is not a film you watch for the plot, but is either slow moving with a few arty shots of people against sunsets or an exploration of a culture clash the girl (Jenny Agutter) not understanding the boy, whilst her brother has more of an understanding.
