An electronic alien life form is beamed onto a Russian ship, which then builds robots and takes over people. An American salavge tug then boards the ship and the crew realise that there is something sinister going happening on the ship. This is a standard disaster type film, as the small band of good people fight back against the bad aliens. There are good performances notably from Jamie Lees Curtis and Joanna Pacula.
