Comment/Synopsis
A prostitute (Carole Lombard) wanting to go straight meets and marries a friendly taxi driver (Pat O'Brien), but she gets into trouble after lending a another prostitute (Shirley Grey) money who is then found dead. There are good performances from Carole Lombard and Pat O'Brien. THis was made just before the Production Code was fully implemented which meant the film coul revolved around Carole Lombard being a prostitute. Columbia reissued the film minus the opening sequence that explicitly showed Carole Lombard was a prostitute and that is why she ha to leave New York.
