A newly engaged woman flies off to meet her in-laws for Christmas with her fiancée due to follow on behind. At the airport she has a chance encounter with a man who who has a the same surname. So goes to stay with his family without realising it is the wrong family. The inevitable love triangle develops. The performance from Alicia Witt lifts this above most made for television Christmas films.
