A country singer (Dolly Parton) dies in a car crash, but St Peter (Roddy McDowell) sends her back to earth to bring a father (Brian Kerwin) and his two children (Allison Mack and Eli Marienthal) back together for Christmas as a good deed before she can enter heaven. This is basically a vehicle for Dolly Parton as the singing nanny. Dolly Parton is charming in the lead role, with support from Roddy McDowell and Maria del Mar as the love interest.
