An aspiring singer (Irene Dunne) has a one stand with a man (Preston Foster) on a train to New York, when he gets married to another woman, she marries his brother (Robert Montgomery). Irene Dunne goes from small town girl to wealthy New York wife, but things fall apart when the brother reappears. Irene Dunne gives a good performance although her character does have a curious relationship with both brothers.
